New York City FC and Etihad Airways announced a 20-year agreement for the naming rights of New York’s first soccer-specific stadium, which will be called Etihad Park. The venue, located in Willets Point, Queens, will become the club’s new home starting with the 2027 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
Brad Sims, CEO of New York City FC, highlighted that the stadium symbolizes the club’s commitment to the city. “Etihad Airways has been a fantastic partner of the Club for over a decade, and we are proud that Etihad Park will be the home of our great team. This stadium will be a physical testament to our investment and commitment to New York, becoming a cathedral of soccer in the United States” he said.
The stadium will have a capacity of 25,000 and will be the first fully electric sports venue in New York and across MLS. Additionally, it will be part of a 23-hectare project in Willets Point that includes 2,500 units of affordable housing, a new public school for 650 students, a hotel, and over 150,000 square meters of open public spaces.
The Willets Point project, approved by the New York City Council earlier this year, is expected to generate approximately $6.1 billion in economic activity, 1,550 permanent jobs, and 14,200 jobs during construction, according to official estimates. Sims also noted that the stadium will become a key community space. “Etihad Park is designed to celebrate the essence of the community and the vibrant life of New York’s urban parks, becoming a hub for sports events, concerts, festivals, and community activities”.

Launching New Seasonal Service to Fort Myers
JetBlue is also launching winter seasonal service from Worcester to Fort Myers beginning on January 4, 2024. The route will initially launch with twice-weekly service, and will increase to daily service starting in mid-February through the end of the Red Sox Spring Training. JetBlue and Massport Announce Two New Florida Destinations from Worcester

VANCOUVER, British Columbia&#8211;(BUSINESS WIRE)&#8211;Flight attendants represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) have launched the “Unpaid Work Won’t Fly” campaign, a national effort to end the widespread abuse of unpaid work in the airline sector that sees the average flight attendant in Canada work 35 hours every month for free.

“Much of the Canadian public has no idea that when flight attendants are doing their pre-flight safety checks, or assisting passengers with boarding, or helping passengers when their plane is delayed at the gate after a long journey, that the flight attendant isn’t even being paid,” said Wesley Lesosky, a flight attendant with CUPE 4094 and president of CUPE’s Airline Division. “It’s a dirty secret in this industry and one that we’re determined to expose and end for good.”
“If we’re at work, in uniform, doing our jobs and taking responsibility for our passengers, we should be getting paid – simple as that,” Lesosky added.
The campaign will aim to raise awareness about the situation facing flight attendants – who are responsible for keeping the flying public safe and comfortable on the ground and at 30,000 feet – and will culminate in a National Day of Action to End Unpaid Work on April 25, with events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.

LONDON&#8211;(BUSINESS WIRE)&#8211;Macquarie AirFinance Holdings Limited (the “Company”) has commenced an offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of Senior Notes due 2028 (the “Notes”) to investors in a private offering.
The Notes will initially be jointly and severally guaranteed (each, a “Guarantee”) by each of the Company’s direct and indirect subsidiaries (the “Guarantors”), other than the servicing entities of the Macquarie AirFinance group and each secured group subsidiary as defined under the Company’s Revolving Credit Facility (as defined below).
The Notes and the Guarantees will be senior unsecured obligations of the Company and the Guarantors and will rank equally in right of payment with all of the existing and future senior unsecured debt of the Company and the Guarantors that are not subordinated. The Notes and the Guarantees will rank junior to all existing and future secured debt of the Issuer and the Guarantors to the extent of the value of the assets securing that debt. The Notes and the Guarantees will be effectively subordinated to any and all liabilities, including trade payables, of the Company’s subsidiaries that are not Guarantors.

Fewer emissions and less food waste
In 2022, Iberostar achieved a reduction of its carbon footprint, in part, as a result of sourcing 100% of its energy from renewable sources in its hotels in Spain. Additionally, the electrification of its three hotels in Montenegro and the reduction of energy consumption by five percent (equivalent to the average energy use of 5,460 Spanish households in a year) also contributed to the reduction.
Similarly, the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in 20 of its kitchen hotels allowed Iberostar to avoid 213 tons of food waste in the last year—equivalent to 533,000 meals—reducing 916 tons of CO2. The system will be installed in all the Group&#8217;s hotels before the end of the year.
The reported progress is a step forward in Iberostar Group&#8217;s strategy to become carbon neutral by 2030. This is being achieved by the reduction of Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 85%, and Scope 3 by 50%. Joby Appoints Former FAA Administrator and Delta Board Member Michael Huerta to the Company’s Board of Directors

WEST CHESTER, Ohio&#8211;(BUSINESS WIRE)&#8211; CFM International and ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business have signed a CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) for LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. Under the terms of the CBSA, ST Engineering will provide the full scope of LEAP Maintenance, Repair &amp; Overhaul (MRO) services for operators worldwide.
ST Engineering is the first provider in Asia to join the LEAP MRO network under a CBSA agreement. Comprehensive MRO services will be provided at their facility in Singapore.
