Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) delivers the twentieth Boeing 737 to Aeromexico
Aeromexico operates a fleet of 67 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has completed the delivery of six Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to Aeroméxico under an existing lease agreement with the company. The deal included three 737-8 and three 737-9 models.
Aeroméxico has maintained a commercial relationship with DAE for over a decade, during which it has received 20 Boeing 737-family aircraft managed by the Dubai-based lessor.
Currently, the Mexican airline operates the largest 737 MAX fleet in Latin America, consisting of 42 737-8s and 25 737-9s. According to data from aviation analytics platform Cirium, Aeroméxico is scheduled to add 11 more aircraft of this model over the next two years.
DAE ranks as the third-largest lessor within Aeroméxico’s fleet, with 15 aircraft under lease. It is preceded by Air Lease Corporation with 20 aircraft, and AerCap with 17.
The company has not announced any new fleet agreements so far. However, it is actively assessing the potential replacement of its 38 Boeing 737-800s, as well as the phase-out of 37 Embraer 190s—possibly substituting them with additional 737 MAX units.
Aeroméxico also operates fourteen Boeing 787-9s and eight Boeing 787-8s.
