EasyJet Secures Growth Until 2034 with New Order of 157 A320neo Aircraft

EasyJet confirmed this Tuesday (19) an order for 157 aircraft from the A320neo family, split between 56 A320neo and 101 A321neo, to be delivered between 2029 and 2034. The agreement also includes 100 purchase rights and the conversion of 35 A320neo already in the order book to the A321neo variant.

The ultra low-cost highlighted that this order secures factory slots (very limited in the narrow-body segment until at least 2029) that will allow them to cement growth well into the next decade, as well as modernizing their fleet by retiring all A319s and replacing about half of the A320ceos.

The current fleet of Easyjet (and its subsidiaries Easyjet Europe and Easyjet Switzerland) is composed of:

• 136 A320 with an average age of 10.3 years.
• 73 A319 with an average age of 15.3 years.
• 48 A320neo with an average age of 3.7 years (plus 124 on order)
• 11 A321neo with an average age of 4.3 years (plus 33 on order)
