Norse Atlantic Airways signed an agreement with Air Promotion Group (APG) to expand ticket sales through major Global Distribution Systems (GDS), including Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport. According to the airline, this integration will allow travel agents and corporate clients worldwide to access their flights more efficiently.
Norse tickets are now available under a «pseudo-codeshare» system through the APG Interline E-Ticketing (IET) platform. This mechanism allows flights to be marketed under the A1 code in the GDS and in APG’s global GP-275 stock. Additionally, bookings can be made via the APG Connect B2B platform, facilitating centralized reservation management for both IATA and non-IATA agents.
Bård Nordhagen, Chief Commercial Officer of Norse Atlantic Airways, stated, “Our partnership with APG is a key step in our strategy, expanding the way we connect with our passengers through the GDS system. We are excited for many future business partners to adopt this solution, enabling comfortable travel experiences at more affordable fares.”
“We are very excited to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways to the APG network. The integration of their flights into our IET platform will significantly enhance their global distribution,” added Ophélie Cherdrong, Chief Product Officer of APG IET.
The strategy also aims to optimize the use of Norse’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, which the company states is fuel-efficient, maximizing seat occupancy during both peak and low-demand periods.
Norse Atlantic highlights that it offers three fare categories to meet different needs: Light, Classic, and Flextra. Light fares are economical, while Flextra fares include greater flexibility, meals, and more generous baggage allowances. In its Premium cabin, passengers can enjoy up to 43 inches of seat pitch, 12 inches of recline, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems at each seat.
Founded in 2021, Norse Atlantic operates long-haul flights to destinations in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia with a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Its routes include cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Rome, and Paris. APG, with over 30 years of experience, is one of the largest providers of representation services and interline solutions in the aviation industry.
This new partnership represents a strategic move to strengthen Norse Atlantic’s presence in the global market and expand its reach through widely used distribution platforms in the travel industry.
