GOL increases flights between Salvador and Buenos Aires from April 2025
GOL Linhas Aéreas will boost its connectivity between Salvador (SSA) and Buenos Aires/Aeroparque (AEP) with additional flights starting in April 2025. The airline highlights this move as part of a broader strategy to enhance international links from northeastern Brazil, a key hub for travelers heading to Argentina and the United States
GOL Linhas Aéreas announced that it will increase flight frequencies between Salvador (SSA) and Buenos Aires/Aeroparque (AEP) starting in April 2025.
Flights will depart from Salvador to Buenos Aires on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while the return from the Argentine capital will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays, GOL details. The operations will use Boeing 737 aircraft, with a capacity for 186 passengers.
Connection with Northeastern Brazil
The airline explains that this expansion is part of a strategy to strengthen international connectivity from northeastern Brazil, a region already offering direct flights to other destinations in Argentina and the United States. In addition to the new schedule to Buenos Aires, Salvador serves as a hub connecting to 14 other domestic destinations operated by GOL.
GOL also operates flights from Buenos Aires to Porto Seguro (BPS), Salvador, Maceió, Recife, João Pessoa, Natal, Fortaleza, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Florianópolis, and Porto Alegre. The airline highlighted its codeshare agreements with Aerolíneas Argentinas, facilitating access to tourist destinations like Bariloche, Ushuaia, and El Calafate.
The air corridor between Brazil and Argentina sees a high volume of tourists. According to GOL, Buenos Aires is one of the most popular destinations for Brazilians, while the beaches of the Northeast are key attractions for Argentine travelers. These direct operations contribute to job creation and income generation in the region, according to the airline.
Tickets for these frequencies are now available through the company’s official channels. Flights can also be purchased using the Smiles loyalty program.
