Insightfull: The New Aena Tool for Noise and Operations Management

The tool provides georeferenced and interactive data on flights, noise levels, and operations, positioning itself as part of Aena's sustainability efforts to promote collaborative noise management and improved communication.
Palma de Mallorca Airport has launched Insightfull, a new web portal designed to integrate operational and acoustic information, aiming to improve communication and transparency with neighboring communities, Aena reports. The tool provides users with interactive data on flights, noise levels, and other operational aspects.
Insightfull consolidates georeferenced information, offering dynamic content customized to each user's location. It has already been implemented at airports such as Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat and Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, as well as international hubs like Toronto, London-Gatwick, Sydney, and San Francisco. Aena explains that the platform is tailored to address the unique needs and operational challenges of each airport.
The portal introduces innovative features compared to older tools like WebTrak. As noted by Aena, it helps users "easily understand essential aspects of how the airport operates and the reasons behind those operations." Additionally, Insightfull incorporates data from six acoustic measurement terminals strategically located in collaboration with nearby municipalities.
This platform is part of the Noise Management and Community Relations initiatives under Aena’s sustainability programs. The company highlights that these efforts promote collaborative noise monitoring and management, involving airlines, air traffic service providers, local authorities, and neighborhood associations.
