Avianca announced that as of July 1 it will inaugurate its regular flights between Medellín and Punta Cana, reinforcing its international offer for the Antioquia region.
The airline will operate four weekly flights, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing from Medellín as AV 0220 at 8:45, to arrive in Punta Cana at 12:20. The return as AV 0221 will be at 1:20 p.m., landing in the Colombian city at 2:55 p.m. As a promotion, there are rates from USD 299 departing from Medellín.
“We are very excited to continue offering new direct routes from Medellín. Punta Cana is the second destination that we will add this year because last week we also announced the operations to Cancun, two destinations that are highly demanded by passengers from the Antioquia region” said Ana María Copete, Sales Director Colombia.
Avianca will offer more than 4,000 monthly seats between Medellín and Punta Cana, which are complemented by the 10,698 seats that it currently has between Bogotá and the Dominican Republic, linking the Colombian capital with Punta Cana and Santo Domingo.
Avianca’s international offer in Medellín (MDE) in April also includes three weekly flights to New York / JFK and three weekly flights to Miami (MIA).
