The First Bell 407 GXi of Argentina completed the assembly work at the Helicópteros Marinos S.A facilities in Don Torcuato, Province of Buenos Aires.
The aircraft arrived in Argentina on December 29, from its factory in Texas, United States. After passing customs procedures it was taken to Don Torcuato on February 12 where the helicopter immediately began to be assembled.
The assembly work was completed on March 5, followed by airworthiness certification work on the Bell. They were made by Hélice, Helicópteros Marinos S.A., Redimec and C2 Tech Consulting.
- Installation of an EVS system (Enhanced Vision System) for landing in night or marginal conditions
- Integration of a connection system for visualization of helicopter navigation in passenger mobile devices (FDMAP)
- Garmin GSR 56 installation, which provides communications and weather globally, compatible with the installed G1000 NXi system, enhancing in-flight safety and out-of-sight communications
- It has Frahm Damper, which significantly reduces vibrations in the cabin
The new Bell 407 GXi, and the first in Argentina, is registered as LV-JVG (MSN 54903). This model is an improved version of the Bell 407 manufactured by Bell Helicopter Textron presented in 2018.
