Aerolineas Argentinas confirmed a new flight to Moscow in search of doses of Sputnik V

Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed the sixteenth flight to Moscow to bring doses of the Sputnik-V vaccine against COVID-19.

The AR1060 departs this Sunday at 2 am and will arrive at Sheremetyevo International Airport at 00.30 (local time in Moscow) on Monday 24. The return, under number AR1061 is scheduled for 4.30 am and the arrival at the international airport Ezeiza will be at 4.30 pm on Monday.

“It is good news that at the most difficult moment of this pandemic, flights continue to arrive because they translate into more people protected. The way out of this situation is to continue taking extreme care and continue with the vaccination plan,” said Pablo Ceriani, CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

The vaccines produced by the Gamaleya Institute are transported in “thermobox” type containers at a temperature of 18 degrees below zero and with an additional refrigeration load. The flight will be operated by Airbus 330 with registration LV-GIF, which was modified to function as a freighter.

Aerolíneas Argentinas has carried out 15 flights to the Russian Federation in which a total of 7,033,290 doses were transferred. In addition, 5 flights were made to Beijing, People’s Republic of China in which 3,659,200 of Sinopharm vaccines arrived to the country. In this way, in 20 completed flights, Aerolíneas Argentinas brought 10,692,490 doses of vaccines against Covid-19.
