Copa Airlines resumes its flights to Bahamas

The Panamanian airline announced that it is returning to Nassau (NAS) in the Bahamas on June 5, after having suspended its flights in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

Now with a better perspective and while progressively enabling tourism to the islands, Copa will operate two weekly flights. With this, passengers will be able to connect to different destinations of the airline through its Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport, mainly to and from South America.

Since May 1, the Bahamas accepts foreigners who are vaccinated with the full doses of the pharmaceutical companies Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca. In any case, they must apply for a Health Visa to enter the islands.

Tourists who do not have vaccines or do not have the complete schedule, must undergo a PCR test taken no more than five days before arrival, apply for the Health Visa, complete the daily health questionnaire and undergo rapid tests of COVID-19 antigen upon arrival.

Schedule

Between June 5 and 17 they will fly Mondays and Saturdays, then they change to Thursdays and Sundays. The operations will be carried out with the Boeing 737-800 with capacity for 160 passengers, giving them an offer of 640 seats per week.
