«We are delighted to begin our long-awaited service between Dubai and Miami for travelers. We hope that the service will be popular with our customers seeking new experiences as countries such as the United Arab Emirates and the US move forward with their vaccination campaigns and the world is safely opened for international travel,» said Essa Sulaiman Ahmed, Emirates Vice President for the United States and Canada.
For his part, Ralph Cutié, Executive Director of Miami International Airport, said that «Emirates is without a doubt one of the leading airlines in our industry, and Dubai has become one of the most popular cities in the world for business and pleasure trips.»
With Miami, Emirates has 12 destinations in the United States, after Boston, Chicago, New York (JFK and Newark), Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC and Orlando. During August, the airline will offer 58 weekly flights and 22,390 seats each way between Dubai and the United States, capturing 23.7% of the offer between that country and the Middle East.
