This Tuesday (17) at 18:06 local time the first flight of Aerolineas Argentinas landed at Formosa airport after 516 days of suspensions. The aforementioned city was the only domestic destination that the airline had not resumed as a consequence of the restrictions to the entry of passengers by the province of Formosa.

Aerolineas Argentinas will have, for the time being, two weekly flights to and from Buenos Aires. The company will offer 192 seats per week in each leg.

As before the pandemic, Formosa will continue with only Aerolineas Argentinas operations and with Aeroparque (Buenos Aires) as its only destination.

Until March last year Aerolíneas Argentinas had between twelve weekly flights to Formosa from the Argentine capital.

«To return operations to Formosa is a great news that also has a very important symbolic value because it means recovering connectivity in all the provinces of the country», said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolineas Argentinas.

The airline highlighted that it currently operates to 35 destinations from Aeroparque Airport, which are complemented with 25 interprovincial routes.
