Easyfly continues rearming to recover 100% of its operations, adding a new ATR 42-600 and increasing the frequency on several routes.

Last Thursday it received the ATR 42-600 with registration HK-5351, being the seventeenth aircraft in its fleet. It departed on July 30 from the Toulouse (TLS) factory in France and arrived in Bogotá (BOG) on August 4, prior stopover in Reykjavik (KEF) in Iceland, Halifax (YHZ) in Canada and Nassau (NAS) in the Bahamas.

With this income, its fleet is made up of two ATR 42-500s (aircraft to be replaced) with capacity for 48 seats, ten ATR 42-600s with capacity for 48 passengers and five ATR 72-600s with 70 seats.

Easyfly has been carrying out an expansion plan throughout the country focusing on connecting all the provinces and sub-regions. During late May, Mitú (MVP), Puerto Inírida (PDA) and San José del Guaviare (SJE) flights were inaugurated.

The company already operates in most of the country’s departments, missing connecting the jurisdictions of Amazonas, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, San Andrés and Providencia, La Guajira and Magdalena.

Easyfly’s expansion comes after obtaining the approval of its Reorganization Agreement by the Superintendency of Companies of Colombia last March, which allowed the restructuring of debts for approximately 269 billion Colombian pesos, including financial relief tools established in the insolvency ecosystem, such as the flexibility of payments of the obligations and sustainable debt pact.
