Aerolíneas Argentinas resumes flights to Punta del Este

On Thursday Sep 16 the first Aerolíneas Argentinas flight from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery landed at Punta del Este Airport. The airline will have two weekly operations in Embraer 190s, configured with 96 seats.

This flight marked the resumption of regular operations at Laguna del Sauce International Airport after 18 months without commercial activity. Prior to the pandemic, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Azul, GOL and LATAM had flights to Punta del Este.

The airline will offer, according to current demand, 192 weekly seats between the cities of Argentina and Uruguay. During the off-season, Aerolíneas Argentinas had around five to six weekly flights, prior to the pandemic.

Azul Linhas Aéreas will resume flights to Punta del Este in December. The Brazilian company will operate from Campinas and Porto Alegre in Embraer 195 and Embraer E195 E-2.

Until December 20, following the actual schedule, Aerolíneas Argentinas will be the only airline operating in Punta del Este.
