The Greek airline announced a commercial cooperation agreement with American Airlines, allowing access to the network of destinations and benefits of both companies. Fulfilling its commitment to support Greece’s economy and the year-round inbound tourism efforts, the airline has been one of the first European destinations to allow fully vaccinated foreign tourists to enter Greece.
Greece has been one of the first European destinations to allow fully vaccinated foreign tourists, generating great interest from U.S. travelers. This allowed several U.S. carriers to expand their operations in the Mediterranean region.
The new interline collaboration fine-tunes the conditions for a greater influx of travelers from America, giving the possibility that with a single booking would facilitate the passenger to travel to Greece or to the American network of destinations.
The Greek airline also has interline agreements with Air Serbia, Qatar Airways, Air France, KLM, Middle East Airlines and Cyprus Airways.
«We are excited to be working with American Airlines. This collaboration is the result of our systematic efforts, which are recognized by globally acclaimed airlines that honor us with their trust. It is an important factor of our strategy to improve our services to offer our passengers more options and, at the same time, reinforce our country’s position as an attractive year-round destination,» stressed Mr. Yiannis Lidakis, Commercial Director of SKY express.
