Flyr increases its flights to Spain and will add three European routes
The Norwegian start-up launched its first international routes on August 21, connecting Oslo/Gardermoen (OSL) with Malaga (AGP) and Alicante (ALC) in Spain and Nice (NCE) in France. Now, both Spanish connections will add a new weekly flight.
From mid-October, Malaga will have flights on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and to Alicante on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Both destinations represent a 33% increase in the number of seats offered, in which Flyr operates Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured for 189 passengers in a single class.
«We are now also pleased to expand our route offering for Norwegians who want to travel to Malaga and Alicante,» says Thomas Ramdahl, Flyr’s Chief Commercial Officer.
The Spanish destinations have been in good demand, as the winter season is approaching and Norwegians are looking for a break from the cold.
New international destinations
The company also announced three new international routes from Oslo (OSL), from October 14 it will fly to Paris/Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on Thursdays and Sundays, from October 15 it will have a connection to Copenhagen (CPH) and Rome/Fiumicino (FCO) on Mondays and Fridays.
The three destinations were requested by passengers through social networks, according to Flyr.
Flyr was founded by Norwegian Erik G. Braathen, who was also part of the foundation of Norwegian Air Shuttle. He is also the grandson of the founder of the emblematic Scandinavian airline Braathenes, once Norway’s flag carrier.
