This Tuesday (19) at 4:28 pm local time the first Aerolíneas Argentinas flight to Rio de Janeiro Galeão took off from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery. The company had suspended operations to the Brazilian airport since last July, as a consequence of COVID-19.
According to the current demand, the airline will have two weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro in Boeing 737-800. With this schedule, Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer 340 seats per week on each leg.
The carrier will be, momentarily, the only airline to operate between the cities of Argentina and Brazil. GOL is scheduled to resume flights in December, with Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8.
