After the U.S. government officially announced that as of November 8 it will reopen its borders to tourists from the European Union, Iberia announced its commitment to the North American market during the winter season, which will include 70 weekly flights between Spain and the United States with tickets starting at 111 euros each way.
The schedule from Madrid will be as follows:
– 10 weekly flights to Miami with an offer of 3,110 seats each way and tickets from 111 euros.
– 10 weekly flights to New York with an offer of 3,110 seats each way and tickets from 123 euros.
– 5 weekly flights to Chicago with an offer of 1,555 seats each way and tickets from 131 euros.
– 3 weekly flights to Boston with an offer of 933 seats each way and tickets from 377 euros.
– 3 weekly flights to Los Angeles with an offer of 864 seats each way and tickets from 274 euros.
– 4 weekly flights to San Juan (Puerto Rico) with an offer of 1,152 seats each way and tickets from 340 euros.
In all these cases they operate with A330 family aircraft, with an overall offer of 21,448 seats per week (round trip). This represents 17.6% less than the number of seats offered during November 2019.
From Iberia they also highlighted the connection alternatives to more than 117 destinations in the United States because of the codeshare agreements they have with other airlines.
The Spanish airline will lead the offer between Madrid and the United States during November, representing 62.9% of the total number of seats, followed by Air Europa with 12.2%, American Airlines with 11.2%, United with 7% and Delta with 6.7%.
