The Argentine government, through Decree 879/2021, established that within 180 days the Ministry of Transportation will set maximum tariffs and will create a system of fare bands for scheduled domestic commercial air transport flights.
The Decree also merges the Capacity and/or Frequency Allocation Regime for International Scheduled Air Services, combining the criteria that existed in two different regulations, one for regional flights and the other for long-haul flights.
The measure also establishes rules on the provision of ground handling services for air operations, which fees will be controlled by the Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (National Civil Aviation Administration).
