Aeromexico: restructuring plan accepted by all voting creditors
Aeromexico disclosed this Friday 21, that the Bankruptcy Court carrying out its Chapter 11 restructuring plan «will issue an order in favor of the company’s motion filed to comply with an order of the Court requiring certain parties to vote their claims to accept the Company’s Restructuring Plan (the «Plan»)».
This, they pointed out, resulted in all eight types of creditors entitled to vote on the plan (including the common creditors of Aerovías Empresa de Cargo, S. A. de C. V.) voting positively to accept the Plan, representing 88% of the number of claims in favor.
On the previous occasion, seven of the eight classes (approximately 86% of the number of claims) had voted in favor of the plan.
A court hearing is now pending to consider confirmation of the plan, which is scheduled for January 27.
«Aeromexico continues to work with all of its key stakeholders to obtain approval of the Plan and to exit the Chapter 11 reorganization process as soon as possible after the Plan’s Effective Date,» the company said in a press release.
«In particular, it is important that at the Shareholders’ Meeting held on January 14, 2022, the Company adopted the corporate resolutions required to give effect to the Plan, which is subject to the Plan’s Effective Date,» they concluded.
