BA CityFlyer will extend connectivity from London City Airport (LCY), located in the center of the city for this year’s northern summer season by including four new European destinations and the resumption of flights to the Channel Islands.

The first destinations on the list will be Luxembourg/Findel (LUX) and Milan/Malpensa (MXP), which from March 27 will have seventeen and three flights per week respectively. Both destinations will initially be available up to and including October 28.

Luxair, Luxembourg’s state-owned airline, currently connects London City (LCY) from Findel with 28 weekly flights on DHC 8-400 aircraft. BA Cityflyer currently operates Milan with three daily flights from Linate Metropolitan Airport (LIN).

As of June 18, the company will also offer a weekly service on Saturdays to Thessaloniki (SKG), Greece.

Barcelona (BCN), Spain, will complete the seasonal offer with six weekly flights starting June 19, except on Saturdays. Both routes will initially be available until September 4, and will be new links.

The British Airways subsidiary plans to relaunch routes to Jersey (JER) and Guernsey (GCI). Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays from June 20 to Sept. 2.

“As customers begin to plan their next summer break, we wanted to offer new routes to some of the most popular European destinations, which are conveniently accessible from London City Airport, are a great addition to our extensive network,” said Tom Stoddart, Managing Director of BA CityFlyer.

All routes will be operated on 98-passenger Embraer 190s. BA CityFlyer usually offers between 6-38 seats in Club Europe, the regional business class, and 60-92 seats in Economy.
