LATAM Group released the operational passenger projection for January 2022 where it estimates to reach 72% (measured in available seat kilometers – ASK) compared to the same month of 2019. However, this estimate is conditioned to the increase in cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 which has put the industry in check in recent weeks.

Thus, the Group expects to operate some 1,245 daily domestic and international flights during the month, connecting 132 destinations in 18 countries. In terms of cargo, 1,190 flights on freighter aircraft are scheduled during January, with an 8% higher utilization level on average than the same period in 2019, in a pre-pandemic context.

With regard to Colombia, for that month the airline estimates to reach 109% of projected operation compared to the same month of 2019, which is equivalent to 185 domestic flights per day on average and 4 international flights per day.

Therefore, in the country, it is estimated a total operation of 162% domestic and 71% international, which becomes the market with the highest operation projection of the entire Group during January and with a 7-point increase compared to December 2021, when the operation estimate was 102%.
