CAE suspends crew training and education for Russian airlines and operators

Montreal-based CAE announced that it has suspended all services and training to Russian airlines, aircraft operators, and medical care. The measure is taken in accordance with the current situation due to the war in Ukraine.

In a statement, the company is appalled by the situation in Ukraine, and that this decision is in response from its people. The suspension includes:

• Stops training Russian airline pilots, corporate and cargo operators.
• To stop selling and servicing simulators for Russian airlines and health care distributors.

In order to support humanitarian relief operations for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, the firm has donated C$60,000 to the Red Cross. To date, CAE employees worldwide have donated more than C$65,000 to the Red Cross, for a total of more than C$125,000 donated by CAE and its employees.

CAE employees in Hungary and Poland are also volunteering their time to support the Red Cross, as well as individually assisting with the needs of Ukrainian refugees.

The company has no facilities in Russia. Prior to the suspension, CAE repaired simulators sold to Russian airlines with spare parts and upgrade services and trained several Russian airlines at its global network of training centers.
