Flynas’ Board of Directors ratified the company’s strategic plan and approved an increase in the volume of its orders. The Saudi airline will thus become the leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa region.

After reviewing the 2021 financial results, the Board noted that the company recovered quickly from the impact of Covid-19, restoring pre-pandemic operating levels in record time.

Bander Almohanna, Flynas’ managing director and CEO, noted, “The decision to allow us to bring in up to 250 aircraft will help us achieve our plan objectives and is indicative of the positive outlook for the domestic and international markets.”

Almohanna explained, “We will explore aircraft of different capacities to fly to new destinations. We will increase Saudi Arabia’s connection to the world, help strengthen tourism and contribute to the transportation of pilgrims. The executive closed by noting that “Flynas is in talks with several aircraft manufacturers to finalize our purchases”.

Flynas connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations with its fleet of 40 Airbus A320ceo and neo family aircraft. Since its founding in 2007, it has carried more than 55 million passengers.
