United first landed in Germany in the 1990s, starting with service between Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Frankfurt (FRA) on Boeing 767s, and for the summer season the airline is offering up to 18 daily flights between the United States and Germany.
As part of its transatlantic expansion, the airline will offer two new routes between Denver (DEN) – Munich (MUC) and Washington Dulles (IAD) – Berlin (BER), in addition to increasing to a second daily flight between Frankfurt (FRA) – Newark (EWR).
During the summer, United will have an offer of 67,494 seats per week in 252 air operations to Germany, in addition, it will offer up to 10 flights to Frankfurt (FRA), in 2019 this was the third main European destination to the United States where 7,117,561 passengers were mobilized.
The Chicago-based company will be the only North American operator with more destinations to Germany from Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), and Berlin (BER), the latter United will be the only airline to offer transatlantic services to the German capital, flights to the German country will be available from hubs in Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), Washington Dulles (IAD), Denver (DEN), Houston – Intercontinental (IAH) and Chicago O’ Hare (ORD).
United has a transatlantic Joint Venture with Lufthansa Group and Air Canada. They offer the largest number of flights, seats, and routes between Germany and North America than any other alliance.
