Starting in April, the British airline will add new frequencies and reinstate previously suspended services at major U.S. airports, reaffirming its leadership as a major player in the transatlantic market.

Operations to Washington Dulles (IAD) and Seattle (SEA) will resume this week. Meanwhile, services to New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO) and Atlanta (ATL) will also be increased. In April, the carrier will offer three daily flights to Los Angeles (LAX).

From Orlando (MCO) the airline will provide non-stop service to four destinations in the United Kingdom. Those are: London Heathrow (LHR), Manchester (MAN), Edinburgh (EDI), and Belfast (BFS). Hence expanding its offerings in the state of Florida.

Flights to Seattle (SEA) will resume on March 2 with a frequency of five times a week on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. As of March 5, operations to Washington Dulles (IAD) will return five times a week on Airbus A330-300s, re-establishing connectivity between the U.S. and British capitals.

During the summer season, Virgin Atlantic will for the first time land in Texas, with a new, unprecedented service to Austin (AUS) that will operate four times a week. The airline will also receive several Airbus A350-1000s in a high-density configuration for its flights to the state of Florida.

«Following the relaxation of travel restrictions, we have seen an increase in demand for many of our global destinations. In particular, in our U.S. heartland. Our customers can’t wait to return,» said Juha Jarvinen, Virgin Atlantic’s chief commercial officer.
