VIVA landed in the department of Meta by inaugurating this Sunday (27) direct flights between Vanguardia Airport (VVC), which serves Villavicencio, to Cartagena (CTG) and Medellin/Rionegro (MDE).
Villavicencio joins Neiva (NVA) and Armenia (AXM), recently inaugurated and will be joined in the coming days by Pasto (PSO) and Valledupar (VUP).
The link to CTG will have three weekly flights (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), and Medellín/Rionegro (MDE) will also have three weekly flights (Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays).

The ultra-low-cost will only compete with SARPA, which has two weekly flights on ERJ-145 aircraft. Indirectly it competes with Easyfly, which has a daily flight to Medellín, but from Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH).
Villavicencio is currently served by Avianca (Bogotá), Easyfly (Bucaramanga, Cali, Medellín/Olaya Herrera and Pereira), SARPA (Medellín/Rionegro) and SATENA (Mitú, Puerto Carreño and Puerto Inírida).
VIVA continues to increase its offer of domestic destinations after adding 14 new connections in March, with a greater focus on Cartagena, Medellín and Cali.
