WestJet announces summer schedule for Alberta
WestJet announced its 2022 summer schedule fully restoring all of its services from the Province of Alberta to pre-epidemic levels. Canada’s second largest airline will offer 180 daily flights from Calgary (YYC) and Edmonton (YEG) on 35 domestic, 16 cross-border and 8 international destinations during peak months.

More transatlantic flights from Alberta
After a two-year delay, WestJet will begin operations to Rome – Fiumicino (FCO) will be the only service to Italy from Alberta. The airline will also introduce new service to London Heathrow (LHR), the UK’s main airport.
WestJet will boost transatlantic connectivity from Alberta by increasing its offering by 43% compared to 2019, supported by new routes and increased nonstop options from London Gatwick (LGW), Dublin (DUB) and Paris (CDG).

All WestJet transatlantic flights from Calgary (YYC) will be operated on 320-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft configured with 16 Business Class, 28 Premium Economy and 276 Economy seats.

Increased domestic and regional connectivity
WestJet will realize an 88% increase in regional connectivity across the province, the airline will provide more than half as many seats in Alberta as WestJet Group and Swoop, providing more travel options than any other carrier.

- Lethbridge (YQL), Lloydminster (YLL), Medicine Hatl (YXH): multiple flights to Calgary (YYC).
Increased cross-border connectivity and a new destination in the U.S.
As part of its northern summer schedule, WestJet will launch a new service between Calgary (YYC) and Boston (BOS) beginning June 30. The airline will also resume and enhance service to 16 popular cross-border business and leisure destinations.
