With more than 15 years of experience in the airline industry, David Alemán, currently, Avianca’s Sales Director for South America, will also be in charge of commercial management for Colombia.
In his new role, he will be responsible for designing and executing the commercial and sales processes for the Colombian market, as well as leading the interaction with the nation’s travel agencies, together with the huge team of experts working to implement the changes to make Avianca for all.

In addition, a customization offer that is increasingly familiar to customers who now choose the products and services they need, along with a unique loyalty program, and of course, we are seeing more and more competitive prices for travel in and out of Colombia,» commented David Alemán.
David, a Mechanical Engineer by profession and with an MBA, specializing in Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey, is an executive with extensive experience in the aviation sector where he served as Project and Fleet Manager of Aerogal, and also as Ground Operations Manager, Air Operations, Fleet and Projects Manager, as well as General Director of Avianca Ecuador, from where he developed strategic projects of union, improvement, sales, and potentization of teams.
In 2018 he assumed the General Management of Mexico, Central America and The Caribbean where he led a team focused on achievement and enormously committed to its administration, which allowed to achieve excellent operational and stability indicators, bringing relevant price efficiencies, thus maintaining Avianca as one of the preferred airlines by Central American users.
In the last year, David has successfully led sales in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
