Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate direct flights between Ushuaia (USH) and São Paulo – Guarulhos (GRU) during the high season months, to serve the demand of Brazilian tourists visiting winter destinations in Argentina.
The operation will have a frequency of two flights per week, on Mondays and Fridays, and will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 170 passengers. It will be carried out between July and August.
The flight will depart from Sao Paulo at 1:10 am to arrive in Ushuaia at 8:00 am, with a stopover at Ezeiza airport in Buenos Aires (no change of plane or connection, so it is a direct flight). In the opposite direction, it departs at 22:10 from the capital of Tierra del Fuego to arrive at Guarulhos airport at 4:45.
Due to the code-share agreement with GOL, connections to and from Brazil’s main cities are offered through São Paulo.
The company’s commitment to inbound tourism is part of its reinsertion in the Brazilian market, where it has already resumed flights to Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Brasilia during the last month.
On the other hand, in July it will also begin to connect Sao Paulo (GRU) with Salta and Bariloche with four and three weekly flights respectively.
