Spirit Airlines on April 20 inaugurated its first operations from Memphis International Airport (MEM) with daily flights to Las Vegas (LAS) and Orlando (MCO), tickets are available from the company’s website.
The Miramar, Florida-based airline becomes the ninth carrier to operate out of Memphis (MEM). The company as of June 8 will add another destination from the West Coast to Los Angeles (LAX), offering a total of three destinations in MEM.
«Increasing our presence in Tennessee also means more high-value travel options for our new Memphis guests looking for convenient flights to some of the country’s most popular leisure destinations,» said Ted Christie, president and CEO of Spirit Airlines.
«It’s a great day for MEM passengers as Spirit will offer daily nonstop options to two very popular destinations,» said Michael Keeny, chairman of the Memphis – Shelby County Airport Authority Board of Commissioners.
«We are excited about Spirit’s long-term growth potential at MEM,» Keeny added.

All flights will be operated in Airbus A320neo aircraft with 182 seats in single configuration.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Spirit Airlines will have during the 2022 summer season an offer of 7,644 seats per week in 42 air operations.
