Ávoris Corporación Empresarial announced new developments in the destination network of Iberojet, the commercial brand of the group’s airline. According to the company, it will have up to thirty weekly flights from Spain and Portugal to destinations in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific.
This represents the largest number of services offered by the company so far. Ávoris highlighted the new route between Madrid-Barajas (MAD) and Los Cabos (SJD), which Iberojet will start operating in June. It will be the only European airline to operate a direct flight to the region of Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Another novelty is the increase in weekly frequencies from Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) to Punta Cana (PUJ) and Cancun (CUN). Iberojet will offer two weekly direct flights between Barcelona and the important tourist destinations of the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
The route between Madrid and San José-Juan Santamaría (SJO) will be available three times a week during the northern summer and two weekly flights will be maintained for the rest of the year. The service between the Spanish capital and Port Louis, Mauritius (MRU) will also be back on sale.
From Portugal, Iberojet will operate four weekly frequencies. It recently inaugurated its flight between Porto (OPO) and Punta Cana, in addition to its existing services from Lisbon-Portela (LIS) to Punta Cana, Cancun, and Varadero (VRA).
«This season we are tackling the most ambitious flight program we have ever had to date and, in addition to Madrid and Lisbon airports, we are adding airports such as Barcelona and Oporto, as well as exclusive new destinations», commented Miguel Ángel Sánchez, CEO of Ávoris Corporación Empresarial.
