Viva Air announced through a press release that it will start operations between Medellín and Buenos Aires as from June 15th. The Colombian low cost had received this week the authorization from the Argentine government to start flights, as we announced.
According to the reservation system, Viva will fly four times a week between the two cities with Airbus A320neo aircraft, configured for 188 passengers in single class. For the first time, Medellín and Buenos Aires will be connected by scheduled flights.

The opening of this new route will strengthen its hub at José María Córdova International Airport (Medellín). The ULCC provides fast connections to Cancún, Miami, Punta Cana and Mexico City, in addition to Santa Marta, Cali and Cartagena in Colombia, with a time of 50 minutes between flights.
