Sky High Aviation Services is scheduled to launch flights to Venezuela next June. The airline will offer service from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ) to Caracas (CCS), Maracaibo (MAR), Valencia (VLN) and Porlamar (PMV). For the first time the company will operate scheduled passenger operations to South America.
Sky High received authorization from the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) in January of this year to connect the Caribbean country and the Venezuelan territory with non-stop flights. The new routes are already available for sale on the company’s website.

The Dominican Republic is one of the most popular international destinations for Venezuelan travelers for leisure and onward international connections. According to data obtained by The Civil Aviation Board (JAC), 166,616 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between the Caribbean and the South American country, and the main route was Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Caracas (CCS), where 118,324 passengers were mobilized.
With the arrival of Sky High Aviation, Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) will be connected to six cities in Venezuela, including services to Caracas (CCS), Valencia (VLN), Maracaibo (MAR), Barcelona (BLA), Barquisimeto (BRM) and Porlamar (PMV), where the Dominican Republic will be its only international connection.

Sky High’s international network also offers flights to more than 10 destinations in the Caribbean including popular destinations such as Aruba (AUA), Curacao (CUR), St. Maarten (SXM), Havana (HAV) among others. In addition, the airline will operate for the first time in the United States with a route between Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Miami (MIA). These flights are still awaiting government approval and will be available for sale soon.
