As Part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar, partner airlines in the Persian Gulf will increase their frequencies to Doha between November 21 and December 18.
Flydubai will have a Match Day Shuttle between Dubai and Doha with up to 30 flights a day, allowing for service every 30-50 minutes from either Al Maktoum (DWC) or Dubai International (DXB). In addition, the Qatari authorities will provide free ground transportation between the airport and the stadiums.
The new operations will be able to connect to other destinations in the Emirates and Flydubai network but will also serve those travelers who chose to stay overnight in the UAE during the World Cup.
A same-day round-trip flight for one adult or child can be booked in Economy Class from USD 258 and in Business Class from USD 998 (both fares include all taxes). There is also an in-flight refreshment included in the cost of the fare.
These special fares are non-refundable and do not include free checked baggage allowance, so passengers must carry everything they need in their hand luggage (which can weigh up to 7 kg in Economy Class and up to 14 kg in Business Class).
The services will allow access to the schedule that best suits you prior to each match, as operations are available 24 hours a day during match days.
Flydubai will operate these flights in its Boeing 737-8 with capacity for 166 passengers, and during this period will offer 224,100 seats, that is, an average of 8,000 seats available daily.
According to the company’s website, authorization is pending from the competent authorities of both countries to launch the sale of the flights.
To book a flight on these dates for the matches, you must have a ticket for the upcoming soccer tournament in Qatar. You will also need to apply for a Hayya card; this is a «fan» ID that will be needed to enter Qatar and the stadiums.
