World2Fly takes delivery of a new Airbus A350

World2Fly took delivery of its second Airbus A350-900, registered EC-NTB and serial number 559, which will allow it to expand its operations this summer.

With this addition, the company now has three aircraft: one Airbus A330-300 with a capacity for 388 passengers, based in Lisbon, Portugal; and two Airbus A350-900s configured with 432 seats based in Madrid (MAD), Spain. A third A350 will join the fleet in 2023.

For this summer season, the company is set to operate more than a dozen routes from Madrid and Lisbon to the Caribbean and the United States, as well as charter flights under an agreement with Newblue that includes flights to the Seychelles, Uzbekistan, Barbados and others.

According to data obtained through AENA Estadísticas, during the first four months of 2022 the company transported 59,577 passengers.

Regular routes and frequencies

  • Lisbon (LIS) – Cancun (CUN), Mexico: 1 flight per week.
  • Lisbon (LIS) – Orlando/Sanford (SFB): 1 flight per week, starting June 24.
  • Lisbon (LIS) – Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic: 1 flight weekly.
  • Lisbon (LIS) – Varadero (VAR), Cuba: 1 flight weekly.
  • Madrid (MAD) – Cancun (CUN), Mexico: 5 weekly flights.
  • Madrid (MAD) – Havana (HAV), Cuba: 3 weekly flights.
  • Madrid (MAD) – Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic: 3 weekly flights.
  • Madrid (MAD) – Santo Domingo (SDQ), Dominican Republic: 2 weekly flights, starting June 19.

Charter routes and frequencies

In 2021, World2Fly and travel operator Newblue joined forces to offer flights 25 flights to San Francisco (SFO), Las Vegas (LAS), Boston (BOS), Orlando/Sanford (SFB) and Washington (IAD) in the United States; Puerto Vallarta (PVR) in Mexico, Barbados (BGI), Seychelles in the Indian Ocean and Uzbekistan in Central Asia from Madrid.

  • Barbados (BGI): June 21 and 28.
  • Boston, United States: June 30; July 21 and August 11.
  • Las Vegas (LAS), United States: June 27; July 18 and Aug. 8.
  • Orlando/Sanford (SFB), United States: June 24; July 1, 8 and 15.
  • Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Mexico: July 5 and 12.
  • San Francisco (SFO), United States: July 7 and 28; and August 18.
  • Washington (IAD), United States: July 11; August 1 and 22.
  • Seychelles (VIC): September 1, 12, 19 and 26.
  • Uzbekistan: October 10.
