Austrian Airlines will resume operations to the Caribbean with non-stop service between Vienna (VIE) and Cancun (CUN) with two weekly flights for the winter boreal season 2022/2023. The operation will begin on October 20, 2022 and will end on April 30, 2023.
The Austrian flag carrier will have an offer of 1,224 seats per week on this route and will be its only destinations in Mexico, in addition during the winter it will also offer other services to North American including: Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), Chicago O’ Hare (ORD), Washington Dulles (IAD) and Montreal (YUL).
Data compiled by Aviacionline through the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) indicate that during the 2021/2022 winter season Austrian mobilized 39,876 passengers and 493.72 tons of cargo in 142 air operations. Austrian is the third Lufthansa Group airline to offer non-stop flights to Quintana Roo.

- Vienna – Cancun Flight OS 95 VIE 10:40 – CUN 17:10 Thursday and Sunday.
- Cancun – Vienna Flight OS 96 CUN 19:05 – VIE 11:30+1 Thursday and Sunday.
The flights will be operated on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with a seating capacity of 306 in three classes (38 Business Class/24 Premium Economy/244 Economy), with promotional fares starting at 575 euros each way. Austrian’s winter schedule is now available for purchase.
«The pleasantly good booking situation gives us plenty of tailwind. Due to the high demand over the past year and the strong increase in bookings during the summer, our long-haul destinations will be connected significantly earlier this winter, i.e. from October 17,» said Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines.
The Austrian flag carrier to complete its long-haul holiday offer for this winter will offer several destinations in Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean.
