On the afternoon of July 1st, a Learjet 35A with registration LV-BPA suffered an accident at the Rio Grande airport, in the province of Tierra del Fuego.
The aircraft, which was currently operating for the company FlyingAmerica, reportedly had a problem during take-off and fell to the ground near the Gobernador Ramón Trejo Noel International Airport, within the grounds of the Naval Air Station.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were four fatalities.
Update 16:35 local time: Argentina’s Junta de Seguridad en el Transporte (Safety Transport Board) informed that is aware of the accident and is mobilizing a team of investigators to the site.
