Norwegian low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways announced its new partnership with easyJet, Norwegian and Spirit Airlines. From the interline agreement, powered by technology company Dohop, Norse Atlantic customers will have access more than 600 new weekly connections from the airline’s main hubs.
The partnership with easyJet will facilitate connections from a wide network of European destinations with Norse Atlantic’s flights between London-Gatwick (LGW) and New York (JFK), and from Berlin-Brandenburg (BER) to New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX).
In addition, the agreement with Norwegian Air Shuttle will add options for domestic, the Scandinavian region and the rest of Europe customers arriving at Oslo-Gardermoen (OSL). From the main airport serving the Norwegian capital, they will be able to take Norse Atlantic services to New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Orlando (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Finally, the partnership with Spirit Airlines will increase options in the United States, thanks to the low-cost carrier’s extensive network.
«These agreements will further boost transatlantic travel which will benefit local tourism and businesses on both sides of the Atlantic» said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways. He also added that the company «is in talks with other airline partners who will join the booking platform soon». In this regard, he assured that they expect «to announcing further agreements in due course».
The confirmation of the interline code partnerships comes at a time of expansion for the airline, which will inaugurate new hubs and routes in the coming weeks. Last July 5th, it inaugurated operations to Orlando, while services to Los Angeles will begin on August 9th.
The London-Gatwick base is scheduled to open next August 12th. Five days later, it will land at Berlin-Brandenburg and become the first European operator to offer long-haul services from the German capital’s recently opened airport.
