American Airlines set to fly between Cincinnati and Raleigh

Beginning January 10, 2023, American Airlines will have new nonstop service between Cincinnati (CVG) and Raleigh – Durham (RDU) with daily flights.

Flight Itinerary

  • Raleigh/Durham – Cincinnati Flight AA 3419 RDU 07:00 – CVG 08:45
  • Cincinnati – Raleigh/Durham Flight AA 3421 CVG 20:15 – RDU 21:50

Flights will be operated on Embraer E175 aircraft with a 76-seat capacity in two classes (12 First Class/64 Economy) and promotional fares are available starting at USD 264 roundtrip.

«American Airlines is pleased to connect Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and Raleigh-Durham with new daily nonstop service this January,» said Philippe Puech, director of short-haul network planning for American Airlines.

«We expect this route to appeal to both business and leisure customers, offering a time-saving option between the two regions,» Puech added.

This new service to Raleigh/Durham (RDU) becomes American Airlines’ 12th destination at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) complementing its operations from Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago O’ Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK and LGA), Philadelphia (PHL), Phoenix (PHX) and Washington – National (DCA).

«Raleigh-Durham is a great addition to American’s growing network at CVG, serving both leisure and business travelers,» said Candace McGraw, CVG’s chief executive officer.

«This service is welcome as another option for local travelers to reach the Triangle Region, a growing area where art and science intersect,» commented McGraw.

«We are pleased that American Airlines is expanding its network at RDU by offering daily service to Cincinnati,» said Michael Landugth, president and CEO of Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority.

«Travelers now have more options when flying between Research Triangle and the Cincinnati region,» Landugth added.

Data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium indicates that American Airlines will have a supply of 50,624 seats per week on 574 air operations at Cincinnati. The airline owns a 25.84% share of the market at CVG, making it the second largest air carrier at this airport.
