Gol announced that it will expand its operations between Brazil and Argentina, where it will once again connect the five capitals of Northeastern Brazil (Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Recife and Salvador) with Buenos Aires.
According to Aeroin, our partner media in Brazil, the macroeconomic context in Argentina has caused an increase in bookings by Brazilian tourists, due to the devaluation of the Argentine peso against the real. Thus, GOL would fly again to Buenos Aires from:
- Fortaleza (FOR); starting August 20, Saturdays.
- Natal (NAT); from December 3, Saturdays (outbound) and Sundays (return).
- Maceió (MCZ); beginning December 3, Saturdays.
- Recife (REC), beginning December 3, Saturdays.
- Salvador (SSA), starting December 3, Saturdays.
All flights will be operated to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, the most central airport in the Argentine capital, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 176 passengers, with the exception of Recife, which will be operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
«Buenos Aires is an important tourist destination in South America, and now GOL’s Northeast Zone customers have the opportunity to fly non-stop to Aeroparque, which is located just 7.5 km from the city center, where they will be able to access the main tourist and business points,» commented Bruno Balan, GOL’s Strategic Planning Manager.
