Aeroregional announced that it will expand its international flights through charter operations through travel agencies. The company will have flights to Lima (LIM), Peru, and Caracas (CCS), Venezuela, from Quito (UIO) via Santa Rosa (ETR), Ecuador, starting October 12.

The new routes also involve doubling flights between Quito (UIO) and Santa Rosa International Airport (ETR), in El Oro Province, which also serves the city of Machala and the Ecuador-Peru border.

Clemente Bravo, Prefect of El Oro, pointed out that this province has wonderful natural attractions and diverse infrastructure facilities, which has allowed to receive this Aeroregional operation, which began in April with a daily frequency.

Maxitravel and Maxiticket will market both international destinations, which also sells flights from Quito and Guayaquil to Panama City/Pacific (BLO); Cartagena (CTG) in Colombia; Punta Cana (PUJ) in Dominican Republic; Curaçao (CUR); Valencia (VLN) and Margarita Island (PMV) in Venezuela.

«And from Santa Rosa we are working on charters to Lima (Peru) and Caracas (Venezuela), although the future intention is to make them regular flights,» explains Fidel Murgueytio, manager of Maxitravel.

The company will have three weekly flights to Caracas (CCS), while it will have six weekly flights to Lima (LIM). Both destinations will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Santa Rosa (ETR) with connections to Quito (UIO) and between the capitals of the countries.

Aeroregional is one of the largest Ecuadorian companies with international flights, despite being a charter airline.

Aeroregional is an Ecuadorian airline with regular flights to Santa Rosa (ETR), Coca (OCC) and Loja (LOH) from Quito (UIO). It also has charter flights marketed by travel agencies, and is the official carrier of Ecuador’s soccer teams.

The company has one Boeing 737-400 (HC-CWG) with capacity for 145 passengers and two Boeing 737-500 (HC-CTF and HC-CUH) for 129 passengers.
