airBaltic to operate three new routes to Spain

airBaltic has begun publishing part of its 2023 northern season schedule with 18 new routes focused on European leisure destinations to Spain, Greece, Portugal, Croatia and France.

The Latvian airline will offer from its main hub in Riga (RIX) more than 70 routes between Europe and West Asia, in addition to strengthening connectivity from its focus cities in Vilnius (VNO) and Tallinn (TLL) with four new services between the two bases.

«This is the largest number of new routes in a single season that we have ever seen at airBaltic. We remain committed to our home cities in the Baltic countries and to improving connectivity to and from the region,» said Martin Gauss, airBaltic’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

We are delighted to expand airBaltic’s offering for the upcoming summer season, both by adding new routes and by increasing the frequency of flights on our existing leisure and city break routes,» added Gauss.

New routes from Riga (RIX)

  • Istanbul, Turkey (IST): four weekly flights starting April 2, with fares available from €179.
  • Hannover, Germany (HAJ): two flights weekly starting April 15, with fares available from €69.
  • Bucharest, Romania (OTP): three weekly flights starting May 1, with fares available from 79 euros.
  • Porto, Portugal (OPO): two weekly flights starting May 1, with fares available from 149 euros.
  • Burgas, Bulgaria (BOJ): two weekly flights starting May 4, with fares available from 99 euros.
  • Bilbao, Spain (BIO): two weekly flights starting May 4, with fares available from 149 euros.
  • Tivat, Montenegro (TIV): two weekly flights starting May 4, with fares available from €89.
  • Yerevan, Armenia (EVN): two weekly flights starting May 16, with fares available from 129 euros.
  • Belgrade, Serbia (BEG): two weekly flights starting May 16, with fares available from 79 euros.
  • Baku, Azerbaijan (GYD): two weekly flights starting May 17, with fares available from 149 euros.

New routes from Tallinn (TLL)

  • Split, Croatia (SPU): two weekly flights starting May 1, with fares available from 109 euros.
  • Rhodes, Greece (RHO): two weekly flights starting May 1, with fares available from 119 euros.
  • Dubrovnik, Croatia (DBV): two flights weekly starting May 2, with fares available from 109 euros.
  • Heraklion, Greece (HER): two weekly flights starting May 3, with fares available from 119 euros.

New routes from Vilnius (VNO)

  • Malaga, Spain (AGP): two weekly flights starting May 2, with fares available from 109 euros.
  • Palma de Mallorca, Spain (PMI): two weekly flights starting May 2, with fares available from 109 euros.
  • Nice, France (NCE): two flights weekly beginning May 3, with fares available from 79 euros.
  • Heraklion, Greece (HER): two weekly flights starting May 4, with fares available from 149 euros.

All routes will be operated on Airbus A220-300 aircraft with a 145-seat configuration. In addition, airBaltic will continue to strengthen its summer schedule with additional frequencies to popular European destinations: Barcelona. Lisbon, Rome, and more.
