This Tuesday (20) JetBlue inaugurated its flights between Boston (BOS) and London – Heathrow (LHR) with daily flights. With this new service, the company operates from the two main airports of the British capital from its focus city in Massachusetts, complementing its operations from Gatwick (LGW).
Flight B6 1620 was operated in an Airbus A321LR registered as N4062J and named «Houses Of ParliaMint», the aircraft took off from Logan International Airport (BOS) at 19:23 local time and landed at Heathrow Airport (LHR) at 06:23 the following day for a total flight time of 6 hours and 2 minutes.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Civil Aviation Authority UK (CAA) 1,191,263 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Boston (BOS) and London (Heathrow and Gatwick), the British capital is the main transatlantic market of Logan International Airport (BOS). JetBlue will compete in this market with multiple legacy airlines including: British Airways, American Airlines, United, Delta and Virgin Atlantic.

The route will be operated on Airbus A321LR with a capacity of 138 seats in two classes (24 Mint Suites/114 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 660 one way. JetBlue is the only U.S. carrier and seventh overall to offer transatlantic flights on narrowbody aircraft from Logan Airport (BOS).
The Long Island-based airline continues to expand its operations to Europe with the new generation Airbus A321neo. According to data compiled by Aviacionline via Cirium, for the northern winter season the carrier will offer five daily flights between the U.S. East Coast and London with 9,968 seats per week.
