Mexican airline Mas (formerly known as MasAir), signed a comprehensive Total Component Support (TCS) contract with Lufthansa Technik.
The agreement covers the repair and overhaul of components for the recently added Airbus A330 (P2F) fleet. The new contract governs the supply of up to eight aircraft over an eight-year period.
This is the second contract as Lufthansa Technik supports the current fleet of one Boeing 767-200 (SF), two Boeing 767-300 (ER)(BDSF) and one Boeing 767-300 (F) with its TCS product.
«Our new A330 logistics network is a global network with destinations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. To support our network, we need a global player in aeronautical technical services whose expertise and reliability we value highly. Lufthansa Technik already demonstrates on a daily basis to deliver first-class services, which is required for our operation. This is especially important now as we face an ambitious fleet expansion plan.» Said Luis Sierra, CEO of Mas.
The carrier currently has two Airbus A330-200s (P2F) and two A330-300s (P2F) operating to Frankfurt (FRA) in Germany, Campinas/Viracopos (VCP) in Brazil; Bogota (BOG) in Colombia, Lima (LIM) in Peru, Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) and Pittsburgh (PIT) in the United States.
«We are very pleased to continue our service for mas’ A330F fleet. We are proud to be part of mas’ journey because the Mexican market remains highly competitive,» said Soeren Stark, CEO of Lufthansa Technik.
With the TCS® Total Component Support A330F agreement, mas benefits from an individual supply concept that enables fast transport routes. Through an on-site stock to be established in Mexico City. The fleet will be supported by Lufthansa Technik’s component groups located in North America and Europe.
