#TBT: Canadian Pacific Airlines’ flights between Argentina, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Canada in 1973

Canadian Pacific Airlines, also known as CP Air, was a company with its main base at Vancouver International Airport, and secondary bases in Montreal and Toronto. The airline operated continuously between 1942 and 1984.

Argentina, Chile, Perú and México were the main Latin American markets for Canadian Pacific Airlines. Acapulco, Buenos Aires, Guadalajara, Lima, Mexico City, and Santiago de Chile were some of the destinations.

In 1973, Canadian Pacific Airlines operated to Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile and Lima with stops in Mexico on McDonnell Douglas DC-8s. These aircraft were configured with two seating classes (First and Economy).

Canadian Pacific Airlines was absorbed in 1987 by Pacific Western Airlines, changing its name to Canadian International Airlines. 13 years later it merged with Air Canada, which currently operates between Canada and Latin America.
