Komsomolsk-on-Amur Gagarin Aircraft Plant (KnAAZ) will deliver the first batch of Su-35S fighters produced under the fourth contract, as well as the fifth-generation Su-57 by the end of the year, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) reported.
According to state-run ITAR-TASS news agency, Su-35S produced under the third contract have been delivered to the Aerospace Forces from Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
«The plant will deliver the first Su-35S produced under the fourth contract to the Defense Ministry in 2022. The delivery of Su-57 fifth-generation fighters will continue this year. The aircraft of the 2022 plan are being tested,» the UAC spokesman said.
KnAAZ Director Alexander Pekarsh said the Su-35S is the company’s key product. «It is one of the best aircraft in the world. It has great potential and our company will continue to build it.»
Su-35S
The Su-35S (Flanker-E+ according to NATO classification) is a profound upgrade of the Su-27. It is a deeply upgraded supermaneuverable multirole combat aircraft of the 4++ generation designed with fifth-generation technologies.
It is distinguished by a new digital avionics complex, a new radar with passive phased array antennas capable of simultaneously tracking and attacking a larger number of targets, higher capacity plasma ignition engines and vectoring nozzles. These engines have characteristics corresponding to those of the fifth generation, as they develop supersonic speed without the use of the afterburner.

Su-57
The Su-57 is a Russian fifth-generation multirole fighter. It is designed to destroy all air, ground and sea targets, monitor airspace at long distances from deployment bases, render inoperative the adversary’s headquarters, command posts and control systems.
The aircraft can use a wide range of guided and unguided weapons, including short-, medium- and long-range air-to-air missiles, 250-, 500- and 1500-kg smart bombs (the latter with external suspension). The maximum combat payload is 10 tons.
The stealth characteristics of the aircraft are enhanced by the way of construction, as well as by reflective and absorbing coating materials and electronic warfare means. Some weapons are concealed inside the aircraft to diminish the signature. These measures weaken the reflected signal and deflect it away from the source, which dramatically increases the survivability of the aircraft.
