On November 5 Cayman Airways landed on the West Coast of the United States with a new service between Grand Cayman (GCM) and Los Angeles (LAX). The Caribbean airline will provide the only non-stop flight between the state of California and the Caribbean.

«The LAX route has been made possible by our new fleet of Boeing 737-8s, one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft of all time. Initially, the flight will operate once a week, but based on initial bookings, we are confident that demand will quickly result with greater frequency in the near future,» said Fabian Whorms, president and chief executive officer of Cayman Airways.
