Flydubai reveals a special livery with Argentina’s National Soccer Team

Just days before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Flydubai signed a collaboration agreement to carry out joint promotional activities in the Middle East.

Initially this will include, during the next few weeks, a series of marketing activations with some of the main players of the Argentinian men’s national soccer team during their stay at the training center in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

In addition, this Friday, the arrival of Flydubai’s Boeing 737 MAX 8, registration A6-FKA, could be seen at the Dubai airport wearing a special livery with Lionel Messi, Ángel Di María and Rodrigo De Paul on one of its sides.

These pictures were captured by Cristian Balo, Aviacionline’s Middle East correspondent, as it landed on flight FZ1550 from Tel Aviv.

«We are very enthusiastic about this partnership with flydubai. The Argentine Football Association is constantly looking for emerging experiences that improve the interaction and direct link of the Argentina national team with global fans. Our partnership with flydubai will allow more football fans around the region to feel even closer to the Argentina national team and join in the excitement of the tournament in Qatar,» said Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA (Argentine Football Association), in a statement.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, said they are «honored to be the regional partner for the Argentine Football Association and the Argentina national team. flydubai is committed to connecting people, it is what we do, bridging the distance and removing boundaries. This partnership celebrates these core values which we share with football.»

During the World Cup, flydubai will operate more than 30 daily flights on the special airlift that has been set up to transport match attendees to and from Qatar on the same day. The so-called «Match Day Shuttles» will operate between November 21 and December 18. From Dubai, passengers can connect to more than 100 destinations in 50 countries served by Flydubai, which operates a fleet of 32 Boeing 737-809s, 35 737 MAX 8s and 3 737 MAX 9s.
