Aerolineas Argentinas exported meat from Santiago del Estero to Spain

Aerolíneas Argentinas informed that, last Friday, it carried out the first shipment of meat from Santiago del Estero to Madrid.

The nine hundred kilos of Premium cuts were transported by the company from the «Vicecomodoro Aragonés» in the capital city of Santiago del Estero to Barajas airport on board flight AR1132, which left late on Friday.

These are premium cuts of steer meat, such as: beef steak without topside, flank steak without flank, rump heart and loins of 3/4 lbs and 5/4 lbs.

«In the last two years we have learned a lot about the cargo business, and we have been able to start shipping on a regular basis. We expect to continue expanding the business by 2023 and become even more competitive as a cargo alternative for the entire region,» said Pablo Ceriani, head of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

This is not the first time that Aerolíneas Argentinas has shipped food, beverages, and other locally manufactured products: in the last 8 special flights to Doha, 69,000 kilos of cherries were shipped for final consumption in Hong Kong.

Similarly, over the last year, wines, blueberries, and cherries were shipped to Europe and seeds, Chilean salmon, and other products to the United States.
